Every bacteria is shaped differently. There are three bacterial forms: Bacilli (rod-shaped), Spirilla (curly-cued), and Cocci (spherical). Lactobacillus Acidophilus is most common in bacillus form, meaning that is is long, skinny and rod-like, but it has been found in cocci form as well.
